SARAH MONTGOMERY, PHR
Sarah has always had a passion for veterinary medicine. Her father, one of the owners of Evans East Animal Hospital in Denver, Colorado, led her to be very involved in the veterinary hospital from a young age. What she enjoyed the most has always been the interactions with various people and their pets. Whether it has been providing clients with optimal customer service or assisting staff members to reach their maximum potential, helping people has always been one of her passions.
During her college years, Sarah pursued a degree in International Affairs with a focus on the Middle East. She was a student of Arabic and middle eastern culture. Understanding the conflicts and cultures of other regions has been instrumental in expanding her knowledge of human behavior and conflict resolution.
After graduation, she decided to go back to her roots in veterinary medicine and rejoined the Evans East team; by that time, it had grown to a hospital of 14 veterinarians and over 60 employees!
Currently, Sarah is a Practice Manager with an emphasis on customer service and human resources. She has had the opportunity to speak at the University of Denver, Daniels School of Business, in their VMG leadership program, the GVMA in August on HR topics as well as a featured speaker with Zoetis on customer service. In 2018, Sarah passed her Professional Human Resource exam and obtained her PHR certificate. In 2020, Sarah’s next goal is to obtain her CVPM.
In Sarah’s free time, she enjoys, hiking, skiing, horseback riding, shopping and spending time with her family, which consists of her husband and three dogs.
